The average salary for statisticians jobs in IT advertised across the UK has declined to £34,500, an 8 per cent decrease over the same time last year according to data published on wwww.itjobswatch.co.uk.

The figure is an average of just 12 statisticians jobs, so cannot be considered definitive. The overall average salary of all IT jobs advertised – more than 54,000 – is unchanged at £35,000 over the same period.

The itjobswatch.co.uk website also indicates that salaries offered to statisticians in IT peaked at over £40,000 in Spring 2008. Subsequently, average salaries fell then rose back to a similar level in January 2009 before falling substantially again.
