Inflation worries prompt China house-price data changesChina is set to revise its collection and indexing of property prices because the annual averages published currently do not reflect monthly price fluctuations. Ma Jiantang, head of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), told Dow Jones that he is considering establishing a property-price index to enable comparisons against a base year. "The current calculation method overly eliminates factors of price fluctuations," he said. |
