Awards ceremony highlights statistical excellence and dissemination Jul 1, 2011: This year's statistical awards ceremony at Carlton House Terrace saw honours and awards given to eminent statisticians and journalists. Acceptance speeches covered the topics from Cambridge in the 1940s to Cheryl Cole's choice of colour scheme. RSS president, Valerie Isham, opened the ceremony by remarking what an exciting year it had been for the Society, with the launch of the getstats campaign last October being a highlight.
