Statistics and operational research is to be the focus of a new centre for doctoral training (CDT) at Lancaster University. The centre is to be one of three funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), as part of a £13 million investment that includes two other centres at the universities of Cambridge and Warwick.
